Michael Vick Philadelphia Eagles

I have no idea what is going on with Mike Vick’s bankruptcy case, but he has signed his new contract and the numbers have been released. In the first year of his two-year deal with the Philadelphia Eagles (the Eagles have a team option on the second year), he will make $1.6M. That amount is not guaranteed until Week 1, but they aren’t going to drop him between now & then.

It is Year 2 that Vick stands to start raking in the dough. He signed a $3.75M contract with $1M guaranteed, plus $2.75M worth of incentives and a $1.5M roster bonus. Bravo to his agent. This guy was in jail less than a month ago and now has the opportunity to make $1.6M this year and up to $8M in 2010.

Now clean up your act and show us how the Wildcat is supposed to be ran!
